Shanghai rural spring tour season shines
The inaugural Shanghai Rural Spring Tour Season commenced on March 15, intending to create a vibrant rural tourism experience and to reflect the city's commitment to rural revitalization and agricultural development.

Spanning two months until May 15, this city-wide event features contributions from nine agricultural districts with activities combining agriculture, rural culture, commerce, tourism, sports and exhibitions, offering a delightful blend of Shanghai's unique urban charm and pastoral beauty.

The launch ceremony took place in Yingdong village, Chongming district, unveiling 55 recommended rural spring tour routes and 50 cultural tourism activities, along with village-level competition routes and a rural spring tour guide collection.
A highlight of the event is a rural revitalization market showcasing Shanghai's iconic agricultural products and intangible cultural heritage. The market, complemented by cultural street parades and themed performances, aims to invigorate rural consumption and provide citizens with a rich spring countryside experience.

The event features 50 distinct district-level brand activities across 36 towns and 45 villages, encompassing floral, agricultural, and folk elements. The 55 curated tour routes connect nine rural areas and 65 demonstration villages, forming a "spring necklace" of scenic beauty and unique experiences.
In collaboration with Shanghai Jiushi Group Co Ltd, the event offers "Shanghai-Style Rural Tour" packages, providing discounts on attractions, accommodations and agricultural products. Media and online influencers are invited to explore and showcase the diverse activities, including handicrafts, agricultural study tours, rural cycling, and interactive experiences.
