A vibrant eight-day global food and art market opened on March 1 along Shanghai's Suzhou Creek, integrating international cuisine with artistic experiences to energize the riverside consumer district.

The market, co-hosted by the Jing'an district government and Bailian Group, serves as a pivotal initiative under the "2026 Global Taste in Shanghai" campaign. Its goal is to position the Suzhou Creek area as a new benchmark for integrating culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and exhibitions.

The market features premium vendors offering global flavors, including the LA BARAKA food truck helmed by a Michelin-starred chef, Spanish Iberian ham, and traditional Chinese delicacies like the Shengze Museum's shaomai. Artistic experiences include cultural products from ARTiSTORY STORE, magic shows, and cosplay parades.

Bailian's subsidiaries have also joined the event, offering premium imported food, time-honored Chinese goods, healthy herbal coffee, and discounts. Pu Shaohua, chairman of Bailian Group, said the market marks a fresh start for the group's integrated development across culture, commerce, and tourism. Bailian plans to further upgrade the Suzhou Creek area by integrating regional resources to establish a flagship riverside shopping and entertainment district, making it a new landmark for Shanghai's integrated cultural and commercial development.
