Rev up for F1 and Shanghai Auto Culture Festival
Car enthusiasts are invited to Shanghai's Jiading district for the 2026 F1 Chinese Grand Prix from March 13-15 at the Shanghai International Circuit. The event will feature top drivers and teams, attracting fans globally.
Running alongside the race, the Shanghai Auto Culture Festival will last until May 5, blending motorsports with cultural activities. The festival's theme, "F1·Box in Jiading", includes automotive sports, cultural tourism, and commercial exhibitions.
Deputy District Head Tang Dongying highlighted the festival as a global showcase for Shanghai, inviting fans worldwide to join the celebration.
The 2026 Checkered Flag Carnival will extend F1 excitement across Jiading, Xuhui Riverside, North Bund, and Baoshan Riverside. The main venue will host a theme park and a car show festival in May.
Jiading offers special tourism routes for auto enthusiasts, including the Shanghai Auto Museum and discounts through the "Watch the Race, Explore Jiading" program. Spectators in the E-stand will receive a Shanghai Pass card for discounts.
Visitors with ticket stubs from auto events can enjoy free or discounted entry to district landmarks. Car purchase subsidies and discounts are available through the "Drive New Cars, Explore Jiading" initiative.
Themed pop-up stores and community markets will feature F1 merchandise and local products, creating immersive experiences.
