Allnex – building the future of coatings together with China
With its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main, allnex is a global manufacturer of industrial coating resins and additives, supplying critical technologies for sectors ranging from mobility and transportation, packaging and consumer goods, to construction and infrastructure. Behind the surfaces of electric vehicles, modern buildings, and everyday products, allnex's innovative solutions help coatings perform better, last longer, and meet increasingly strict global environmental standards.
With annual revenue of several billion euro in 2025, approximately 4,000 employees worldwide, 23 R&D facilities, and 32 manufacturing sites around the world, allnex works closely with major global coating manufacturers. PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC) is the single shareholder of allnex, combining European technology heritage with a strong global footprint.
China as a long-term strategic partner, not just a market
For allnex, China is not defined by market size alone, but by its role as a strategic partner in innovation and long-term development.
The company operates six production sites across Shanghai, Suzhou, Jiaxing, Changshu, Foshan, and Zhuhai (joint venture), supported by deep local expertise and long-term investment. This strong presence reflects a shared commitment to advanced manufacturing, high-quality standards, and sustainable development — values long associated with German industry and central to China's industrial transformation.
From strategy to reality: the Jiaxing hub

The allnex Jiaxing Site
Allnex's long-term commitment to China is perhaps most clearly expressed in Jiaxing.
Located in the Dushan Economic Development Zone, Allnex Technology Materials (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd. began operations at the end of 2023. Covering approximately 150 mu and built to advanced environmental standards, the site represents a new generation of intelligent, efficient, and sustainable manufacturing.
Today, Jiaxing is allnex's most advanced production facility worldwide. It is the company's highest‑yielding, most diversified, and most technologically sophisticated site, forming a central pillar of its future supply chain strategy in China and across the Asia‑Pacific region.
More than a single investment, Jiaxing reflects how allnex approaches China: as a place to build long-term capabilities close to customers, talents, and emerging applications — and to anchor global strategy in local execution.
Innovation built on global science and local insight
Allnex's manufacturing strength in China is supported by a dynamic local innovation ecosystem. Allnex operates two major R&D centers in China that translate global science into locally relevant solutions. The Shanghai Technical Center is a 3,400-m² facility housing laboratories for polymer synthesis, powder coatings, application testing, and battery materials. In Suzhou, the Innovation Center focuses on liquid resins and additives, supporting automotive coatings and other advanced industrial applications.
Together, these centers enable close collaboration with customers, faster development cycles, and technologies aligned with China's priorities in green energy, advanced manufacturing, and high-performance industrial coatings.
New era for allnex
On January 1, 2026, allnex entered a new chapter with the appointment of Anish K. Taneja as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Taneja brings over 25 years of international leadership experience across strategy, business development, and organizational transformation. He has also held board positions with key industry associations, including the German Association of the Automotive Industry and Hydrogen Europe.

Anish K. Taneja, new CEO of allnex
"Allnex is a world-leading business with a very strong portfolio, and I am delighted and proud to join the team," said Anish K. Taneja. "I look forward to working with everyone at allnex to realize the significant opportunities ahead in a way that creates value for our employees, customers, and our shareholders."
One of Mr. Taneja's first major priorities is China, an essential region that accounts for approximately 45 percent of the global coatings market.
Building the future from within China
By combining global expertise with deep localization, expanding its manufacturing base in Jiaxing, and aligning innovation to China's long-term industrial priorities, allnex is strongly positioned for its next phase of growth.
With the leadership of CEO Anish K. Taneja and a clear focus on China as a strategic partner, the company remains dedicated to enabling the next generation of sustainable coatings—building the future from within China.
