Baoshan Riverside Lantern Fair lights up for Year of the Horse

The 2026 Baoshan Riverside Lantern Fair is set to take place on Feb 14 and run until Mar 10, operating daily from 6 pm to 10 pm to celebrate the Year of the Horse. Visitors can enjoy the river breeze and glowing lanterns along a curated tour route featuring a dozen themed light installations. This event promises a romantic and festive experience for everyone during the Spring Festival period.

Highlighted light displays include pony-shaped lanterns sending good fortune at the Long Beach Observation Tower, a glowing butterfly garden at Baoshan Riverside Park, and cloud-shaped lanterns for sweet photo ops at the marriage registration center. At Sea World Shanghai, visitors can marvel at an underwater sky featuring fish lanterns, a mythical beast pillar light, and mythical beast Bai Ze lanterns that bring auspicious wishes. The North Square of Paotaiwan Park also boasts soft lantern lights amid tree shadows for festive photos.
