Shanghai Pudong Software Park launches Low-Altitude Economy Platform
Shanghai Pudong Software Park has taken a significant leap into the future of drone technology with the unveiling of its low-altitude economy industry service platform on Dec 19. This platform aims to integrate resources and foster a thriving ecosystem for drone-related technologies, marking a pivotal step in the industry.
The platform is designed to serve as an incubator for tech innovation, a testing ground for new applications, and a business growth accelerator in the low-altitude sector. With nearly 60 companies already on board, the park supports a range of activities from chip development to navigation infrastructure, promoting a collaborative environment.
Nie Ying, general manager of Shanghai Pudong Software Park Co Ltd, emphasized the platform's strategic use of geographical and industrial advantages to create a comprehensive innovation loop, from R&D to market application. The aim is to establish a network linking enterprises, universities, research institutes, and investors, fostering a new development model based on shared technology and resources.
The launch included the opening of the Shanghai Pudong Software Park Low-Altitude Economy Exhibition Hall, offering insights into innovation achievements and development prospects. The park also introduced a training flight airspace zone, facilitating drone testing and commercialization.
Seven companies, including Linyang Aviation Technology (Shanghai) Co Ltd, joined the park's low-altitude incubator. Their operations cover infrastructure construction, intelligent aircraft development, satellite application, and low-altitude tourism investment.
Additionally, the "Shanghai Pudong Software Park-Funtastic Drone Pudong Training Base" was inaugurated to provide professional drone technology training and certification.
