Xuhui launches U30 plan to attract young innovators

At the 2025 Science and Technology Innovation Conference, Xuhui district in Shanghai introduced the U30 initiative. This program aims to attract young science and tech innovators under 30 from around the world to start their businesses in Xuhui.

The U30 initiative offers comprehensive support, including:

- Workspace: One year of rent-free office and housing.

- Financial Support: Up to one million yuan ($141,361) in investment and 500,000 yuan in interest subsidies from an AI youth entrepreneurship fund.

- Resources: One million yuan each in computing power, model, and data vouchers, plus free HR services.

- Additional Benefits: Internship subsidies and an entrepreneurial studio bonus pool ranging from 200,000 to 500,000 yuan.

Xuhui believes young people are key to innovation. The district hosts top research institutions like the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and offers 20 high-quality incubators to support innovation.

Xuhui is providing comprehensive support for talent, including housing, education, healthcare, and cultural activities. Leveraging the rise of AI, Xuhui plans to transform into a hub of innovation over the next five years.
