Xuhui enhances tax-refund services for tourists
With more international visitors coming to China due to visa-free entry policies, the Wukang Road-Anfu Road area and IAPM Mall in Shanghai's Xuhui district are becoming popular tourist spots. To improve shopping for these travelers, Xuhui is upgrading its tax-refund services.
IAPM Mall on Huaihai Road now has a centralized counter for tax refunds, allowing shoppers to get their refunds immediately after buying eligible items.
Over 40 stores in the mall provide this service, covering fashion, beauty, skincare, and premium accessories. Refunds can be received in cash or credited to a payment card.
The historic Wukang Road-Anfu Road area is also increasing its number of tax-free stores. Harmay's branches and other popular retailers like Adidas Originals, Suitsupply, and Le Labo x Gathering are now part of the tax-refund program.
Shoppers can complete refund procedures right after purchase or choose to claim refunds at airport counters by presenting tax-refund forms and receipts.
Visitors should check with store staff to confirm if their purchases are eligible for tax refunds at any of Shanghai's tax refund counters.
