SISU launches volunteer program for international students
Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) is inviting its international students to join a volunteer program in Hongkou district, starting January 2026.
This initiative focuses on talent services, offering participants a chance to learn about China's public service system while improving their cross-cultural communication skills.
Volunteers will assist with English reception and translation, provide advice on talent, residency, and work policies, and guide foreign nationals through business procedures.
The program offers flexible scheduling, with half-day shifts available in the morning (8:30 am - 11:30 am) or afternoon (1:30 pm - 4:30 pm) at the Hongkou District Government Service Center.
Participants will receive an official volunteer service certificate, a stipend of 16 yuan ($2.26) per hour with insurance, and professional training. The program seeks current SISU international students with strong Chinese and English skills, a passion for public service, and reliability in fulfilling scheduled shifts. Experience in talent services or cross-cultural settings is a plus.
Interested students should send their resumes to 27229435@qq.com by Dec 15, using the subject line "International Student Volunteer + Name + University + School".
