Tomorrowland debuts indoor music festival experience in Shanghai

Tomorrowland, the globally acclaimed music festival brand, has unveiled its first fully realized indoor experience, "The Magic of Tomorrowland", in Shanghai.

This two-day event marked the festival's inaugural indoor edition in China, blending international electronic pop with the vibrant music culture of Shanghai.

The festival featured a diverse lineup, uniting top international artists with prominent Chinese musicians, delivering an eclectic mix of genres and performance styles tailored for an indoor setting. Two uniquely themed stages provided the backdrop, each boasting a distinct visual and musical identity.

The highlight was the "Paperworld" stage, a 45-meter runway-like platform adorned with 1,032 moving lights and a 374-square-meter LED wall. Inspired by the artistry of paper, the stage resembled a traditional Chinese scroll, with hand-drawn characters and patterns that added a crafted warmth. This design elegantly fused ancient Chinese paper art with cutting-edge technology.

Adding to the spectacle were 15 giant LED butterflies, crafted in China. These were surrounded by nearly 700 square meters of LED screens and complemented by 2,000 meters of custom light strips, creating the illusion of butterflies taking flight as the lighting shifted with the music.

To enhance the festival experience, organizers launched a citywide campaign in partnership with merchants across Shanghai's Huangpu district. Ticket holders can enjoy exclusive dining, shopping, and cafe perks at various locations. Offers include discounts at popular eateries such as Shanghai No 1 Department Store and Lady Huaihai, as well as special deals at select Starbucks locations.

Festival-goers can participate by presenting their Tomorrowland event ticket QR codes at participating merchants to access these exclusive offers.
