Xi’an Eurasia University innovates internationalization with two-way growth model

Updated:2026-10-03

Xi’an Eurasia University is redefining internationalization in higher education by establishing a two-way growth model that emphasizes both sending students abroad and attracting international talent. This approach aligns with China's broader educational goals under the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30), which aims to transform the country into a hub for global education and cultural exchange.

In a significant move, the university launched the Bellerbys International Foundation Program, the first of its kind in northwest and southwest China. This program follows the UK’s RQF curriculum and offers international students a unique dual pathway to continue their studies either abroad or within China. This initiative marks a milestone in Bellerbys’ global foundation system, providing international students with a genuine Chinese campus experience and domestic students with cross-cultural exposure.

Eurasia University has developed a comprehensive international education system, offering 68 bilingual courses, employing international faculty, and facilitating diverse exchange and internship programs.

Beyond traditional international exchange, the university emphasizes "empowering enterprises going global," aligning its strengths in new business and media with the needs of Chinese companies expanding abroad. This strategy includes standardizing industry-oriented training and fostering international alumni networks to support China-foreign exchanges.

Since embedding internationalization into its core strategy in 2010, Eurasia University has built robust global cooperation mechanisms and professional teams, earning accolades like the AI Innovation Excellence Award. The university’s long-term approach focuses on integrating international capabilities into its educational framework, setting a new standard for applied universities in China and contributing to the country's global educational influence.
