The Tangdu Stomatology Center of Air Force Military Medical University opened on September 24, aligning with the national Oral Health Day campaign. This new facility marks a significant expansion of the university’s “one core, multiple outlets” strategy in Xi’an.

Jointly established by the university's Stomatological Hospital and Tangdu Hospital, the center adheres to uniform management and service standards consistent with its Beilin campus and Beijing branch. It enhances the university’s comprehensive oral medical service network, providing military personnel and local residents with high-quality dental care.

The center spans 1,500 square meters and features 38 advanced dental units. It is staffed by over 30 medical professionals, including more than 10 nationally recognized experts. Specialized services include temporomandibular joint disease treatment, maxillofacial deformity correction, oral and maxillofacial day surgery, and military-specific dental care. The facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology, such as an autonomous oral surgery robot, intelligent chair-side restoration systems, and minimally invasive diagnostic tools, ensuring digital and high-standard dental services for both military and civilian patients.

To celebrate the opening and promote oral health awareness, the center hosted a free clinic event for National Oral Health Day. More than 10 renowned experts offered oral examinations, consultations, and health education on dental restoration, implantation, orthodontics, periodontal therapy, oral mucosal disease treatment, maxillofacial surgery, and pediatric dentistry, bringing premium medical resources to the community.

In conjunction with the opening, the inaugural Silk Road Cup Teaching Competition for Young Stomatology Teachers took place. Participants from nine institutions engaged in this event, which serves as a platform for educational exchange, fostering teaching innovation and enhancing the quality of stomatological education.

The Tangdu Center’s opening represents a pivotal step in the hospital’s strategic expansion. The Stomatological Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University aims to further integrate and standardize development across its campuses, advancing the discipline of stomatology and providing high-level oral healthcare to military and public patients.
