Xi’an Jiaotong University, headquartered in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China, recently welcomed more than 1,000 enterprises and units onto its campus to boost employment of its graduates.
A total of 1,236 units and enterprises from around the country held a large-scale job fair on Sept 25 in the school’s innovation harbor, which attracted more than 10,000 graduates of 2020 and 2021 from Xi'an Jiaotong University and other colleges and universities in and outside the province looking for suitable and desirable jobs.

In his opening speech, Zhang Maizeng, secretary of the Party committee of Xi'an Jiaotong University, expressed his gratitude to local governments, municipal governments and key enterprises for their concern and support for the development of the university, and for their favor and cultivation of its graduates. He invited all sectors of society to work together to create a new chapter of talent cooperation between the university, the local government and the enterprises.
Fang Wei, deputy director of the National College Student Information Consultation and Employment Guidance Center of the Ministry of Education, affirmed the outstanding achievements of Xi'an Jiaotong University in student employment, congratulated the school for holding the job fair, and introduced the employment trend in the post epidemic era and the policies of the State and the Ministry of Education to stabilize and promote employment.
The 1,236 enterprises and units participating at the job fair were from 23 provinces (or cities and autonomous regions) including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shandong and Jiangsu; 166 of their medical and health units provided more than 70,000 posts.
