Zhou Lijing, senior vice president of YOFC – a company based in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), has had a tightly packed itinerary as of late.

On Feb 26, she was in Barcelona for the 2024 Mobile World Congress (MWC); on March 4, she attended LEAP 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; on March 26, she was in San Diego for the 2024 Optical Fiber Communications Conference and Exhibition (OFC); and on May 14, she was in Cologne for ANGA COM 2024.

This year, YOFC has significantly stepped up participation in overseas exhibitions. Zhou explained that attending exhibitions is not just about gaining market attention, but also about engaging with international markets and strengthening global cooperation. "As the world's largest manufacturer of optical fiber preforms, optical fibers, and optical cables, YOFC aims to showcase the best of its products and brand to the world through these exhibitions," she said.

YOFC's booth at the MWC Barcelona was extremely popular. "We received wave after wave of visitors, and people at the signing table never got a break!" said one excited staff member.

In the exhibition hall on the second floor of YOFC's office building, a large map centered around the Belt and Road Initiative shows its overseas factory layout.

Since 2014, YOFC's overseas reach has extended from Indonesia to South Africa, and from Brazil to Poland. Now 18.6 percent of the company's employees are working overseas, and the total length of optical fiber produced by the company would be able to circle the Earth nearly 25,000 times. YOFC is weaving its dream across more than 90 countries and regions worldwide, truly becoming a multinational enterprise.
