On May 21, the Wuhan station of the Alibaba Cloud AI Pilot Summit was held in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC). Hundreds of partners and industry experts gathered to discuss diverse applications in the AI era and share practical cases of creating value through various AI scenarios.
Alibaba Cloud, alongside Amazon and Microsoft, is one of the world's top three global cloud computing brands, having maintained the largest market share in the Asia-Pacific region for several consecutive years. At the end of 2023, Alibaba Cloud established a Central China regional R&D and operations center in OVC, serving emerging clients in biomedicine, internet, high-end manufacturing, and more.
In the future, Alibaba Cloud will promote the development of AI large model applications in the valley, providing cloud computing and AI product technical support, talent training, and other services to local enterprises.
Liu Weiguang, senior vice president of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group, recently introduced the company's AI-driven strategy and the development trends of combining large models and cloud computing both domestically and internationally.
OVC is the main hub for AI and digital economy development in Wuhan, with the related industrial scale accounting for over 80 percent of the city's total.
