Optics Valley, Enshi renew cooperation bond
The East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) inked a regional coordination agreement with Enshi Tujia and Miao autonomous prefecture on April 22.
Since 2021, the Optics Valley of China has been working together with Enshi, which has resulted in five special agricultural parks, three industrial parks, and three goods exhibition and sales pavilions, effectively increasing the income of Enshi's rural residents.
The OVC also built various trails in Enshi, featuring 10 types of scenery such as flower fields and botanical gardens. These picturesque paths attracted more than 40,000 visitors last year.
The two regions also jointly organized 10 job fairs, in which over 300 enterprises promoted 19,000 open job positions.
In addition, 14 schools and four hospitals in OVC and Enshi have established friendly relationships, while 13 scenic spots and 24 homestays in Enshi have become sanatoriums for OVC workers.
Five Wuhan-based enterprises have set up businesses in Enshi, with a total investment of 1.25 billion yuan ($176.25 million).
This time, the valley has pledged to conduct more exchanges and interactions with Enshi in sustainability, technology, industries and talent. The two regions will work together to give full play to their own advantages and expand cooperation space.
