Many enterprises based in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) have moved their headquarters to Wuhan New City.

The new head office of Wuhan Weipai Network Technology Co is located in the T1 office building of the Joy City business district along Gaoxin Avenue, with nearly 1,200 employees.

Founded in August 2013, the company focuses on recreational internet games and social products and has been exploring overseas markets. Its game Snake Off has proved popular among international players.

Huaxin Data System Co is a leading provider of smart water solutions and digital infrastructure construction and operation services for the water industry in China. The company recently relocated its headquarters to Optics Valley Central City. Founded in 2000, the company is primarily engaged in the development and application of industrial Internet, big data, artificial intelligence, and other related technologies in the water industry.

It is one of the first technology companies to focus on the development of the water industry in China, and has been awarded titles such as national high-tech enterprise and provincial specialized and new little giant company.

OVC's businesses are currently expanding eastward. According to incomplete statistics, the Optics Valley Central City added over 1,000 new corporations from January to September this year.
