College student Sun Mengya from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), together with her partner Xu Shixiao, secured gold in the finals of the women's canoe double 500-meter event at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou on Oct 2.

Their partnership has proved successful many times in previous events and they have qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

On Oct 1, Chang Yani, also a college student at HUST, and her teammate Chen Yiwen claimed first place in the finals of the women's 3-meter springboard, winning the third gold medal for the Chinese diving team.

The Honor of Kings final concluded on Sept 26 in Hangzhou, and after three days of contests, Luo Siyuan and Sun Linwei, two players from the eStar club, beat the Malaysian team, nabbing a gold medal for China.

The eStar club is owned by an electronic sports game company based in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC).
