Univ's language service team serves FISU Games

The 31st FISU Summer World University Games kicked off in Chengdu on July 28. The Yuyi youth language service team guided by Zhang Yifan and Pan Feng, both teachers from the School of Foreign Languages of the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, provided their services to the event.
Established in 2009, the team comprises 14 teaching faculties and 40 college students, all actively involved in national and regional foreign affairs. Their language services cover English, Japanese, German, French, Russian, and other languages.

Previously, they served at the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands last year, the seventh International Military Sports Council (CISM) Military World Games in 2019, and have participated in significant translation work for the United Nations Development Program, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, and other international organizations.
In addition, the team has also helped translate many scholarly monographs on Chinese culture, children's literature, and poverty alleviation.
