The 2023 Laser World of Phonetics – the world's leading trade fair in laser and optoelectronic technologies – kicked off recently in Munich, Germany.

A delegation of nearly 20 corporations in this field based in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) participated in the event, including HGLASER, Raycus, and YOFC.

Centering on the technological transformation industry 4.0 era, the trade fair provides enterprises worldwide with opportunities for business exchanges and cooperation in laser devices, optronics, testing and measuring systems, sensors, laser processing systems, and optical communications.

So far, OVC companies have received orders from countries and regions such as Germany, Finland, and Vietnam, and their total contract volume has reached about 79 million yuan.

A delegation member, Wuhan Juhere Photonics Technologies Co, went to the trade fair for the first time. "On the first day of the event, we communicated with 20 professional clients and received about 10 orders," said a manager from the company.

Moving forward, the valley will continue to organize such global trips for local enterprises. OVC will summon its biomedicine firms to participate in the CPHI Barcelona in Spain this October.
