A Hong Kong delegation led by Ye Yongcheng, a member of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, visited the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) on March 26.

The delegation mainly consisted of residents from all walks of life in Hong Kong's central and western districts, as well as young talents of Hong Kong.

They visited the Zhiyuan community of Zuoling sub-district, as well as the talent exhibition hall in Wuhan Future City.

At a work session held on the same day, members of the delegation highlighted the visit as a rewarding experience, which has deepened their understanding of Hubei's development and welfare programs. They said they will learn from Wuhan's successful practices in community governance, and continue to contribute to the friendly exchanges and high-quality development between Wuhan and Hong Kong.
