According to estimates from McKinsey & Company – a trusted advisor and counselor to many of the world's most influential businesses and institutions – in 2030, software will account for 30 percent of a car's structure.

Relevant reports show that in the beginning of the 1980s, a car's software system only contained 50,000 lines of program code, while today the software system of an intelligent connected vehicle (ICV) includes nearly 100 million lines of program code.

As China's first listed ICV software company based in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), Wuhan KOTEI Information Technology Co plans to recruit 10,000 auto software researchers in three years.

At the company's intelligent driving simulation platform, many simulation cars have been placed for regular testing. Sharing similar operations with real vehicles, these cars can generate all kinds of data while operating, which will be used in comparison with those produced from real vehicles. As a result, many autonomous driving trials can be carried out with the simulation car.

What's more interesting is that the co-pilot of the simulation car can also wear virtual reality devices to change the scenery outside the car.

Construction on KOTEI's ICV software industrial park was launched on July 28, 2020, as the first of its kind in China.

OVC has so far brought in more than 200 new energy and autonomous driving enterprises.
