The Optics Valley Legal Service Center for Optimizing Business Environment was unveiled on March 31 in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China).
The unveiling ceremony for the new center was attended by Liu Jie, secretary of the valley's working committee, Zhang Yongqiang, director of the valley's administrative committee, and corporate representatives and professionals from the legal community.
Liu Jie pointed out that the founding of the service center is a concrete move for the valley to optimize its business environment, and urged all related departments and units to set up an efficient platform for legal disputes faced by enterprises, create a sound institutional environment for fair play, and inject legal vitality into enterprises.
Designed to meet lawful demands from enterprises and collect their law-related issues, the service center is expected to clarify "where, who, and how to solve these issues" for firms involved, and provide judicial services, legal consultations, civil and commercial arbitrations, notarization services, and civil and commercial mediations for enterprises.
The service center is based in the Wuhan Future City, and accommodates units, including OVC's court, procuratorate, police station, notarial office, and law firms, which will offer one-stop services to corporations in need.
There are a total of 170,000 market entities in OVC, and from January to March this year, the valley posted a 70-percent annual increase in market entity registration.
