A global investment attraction event for the Silicon Valley Town Science and Technology Park was held on June 23 at East Lake High-tech Development Zone, also known as Optics Valley of China in Wuhan, the capital city of Central China's Hubei province.

Located at the intersection of Gaoxin Avenue and Weilai 3rd Road in Optics Valley, the sci-tech park will focus on the development of emerging industries such as integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, life and health, and smart cities.

The design for the park's landmark building, the Silicon Valley Cube, also debuted during the event. It is designed by well-known architectural design company NBBJ from the United States, whose representative works include the Amazon headquarters in Seattle and the Tencent Building of Binhai in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province.

Designers said that the building will have facilities such as fitness centers, cafes, meeting rooms, and hanging gardens.

The 100,000-square-meter Silicon Valley Cube will be 100 meters in height. Its main structure is expected to be completed in October and opened by the end of next year.

During the event, the Silicon Valley Town Science and Technology Park signed cooperation agreements with 14 companies, including Huawei Technologies Co, covering areas such as design consulting, smart cities, innovation and entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and high-end supporting facilities.

The park is expected to become an important window for Optics Valley's external cooperation and exchanges, according to officials.
