Optics Valley ranks fifth in advanced manufacturing industry
Optics Valley -- also known as East Lake High-tech Development Zone and located in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province -- officially rates among the best in China of its peers, according to a new authoritative report.
It ranked fifth among 219 national-level economic and technological development zones and 168 national-level high-tech industrial development zones, in a report on Chinese cities and development zone's own advanced manufacturing industry development index released by CCID Consulting Co Ltd (CCID Consulting) on Nov 16.
Data for the report came from research conducted by the CCID Consulting intelligent equipment industry research center. The development trends in advanced manufacturing industry were systematically analyzed, while the index for advanced manufacturing cities and national-level parks was established and dynamic tracking was performed.
The long and short permutations in advanced manufacturing industries of cities and national parks were examined and recommendations for the high-quality development of the sector were put forward.
The Optics Valley development index for the advanced manufacturing industry debuted in the current year. The levels of change in national development zones are evaluated using a range of factors -- economic strength, innovation potential, industry integration ability, industrial cohesion and green power -- to provide a reference for planning going forwards.
