The 10th Optics Valley sports carnival was held on Nov 15 in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone -- also known as Optics Valley -- located in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei province.

The event attracted the participation of 52 teams and more than 1,000 athletes.

Sponsored by the management committee of the zone, the sports carnival was divided into two sections: competition events and experience events.

This year is the 10th session of the carnival and the categories of participants were expanded. In addition to the teams composed of representatives from various institutions, parks, dub-districts, State-owned enterprises, enterprises and communities in the zone, more than 500 family members of participants also attended the competition to watch and to cheer.
