Optics Valley gets results from tech transfer conference

The First Optics Valley of China International Technology Transfer and Innovation Connecting Conference, which took place on Nov 6, yielded extremely fruitful results.
The one-day event was held in Optics Valley of China -- also known as the East Lake High-tech Development Zone -- located in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei province.
A total of six major projects were signed on site -- and many other projects were close to reaching agreement after in-depth communications at the early stage -- with a total contract amount of 1.2 billion yuan ($182.52 million).
In addition, more than 100 projects were announced on the official website of the conference, linked to major high-tech fields in Optics Valley.
After the opening ceremony, five sub venues conducted online roadshows. A total of 32 selected projects from 200 projects in other countries and 11 Optics Valley high-tech projects were displayed and promoted to global investment institutions and other potential technology backers on multiple platforms.

The conference attracted more than 200 venture capital institutions and more than 20 leading international well-known technology transfer institutions to participate in the conference.
It also connected with various support industries in important sectors in Optics Valley and certainly helped jointly promote the development of the zone.
