Two Optics Valley companies selected on national list
Recently, two businesses resident in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone -- also known as Optics Valley of China and located in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei province -- received national recognition.
They were placed on the list of 2020 national technology innovation demonstration enterprises, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
A total of 63 enterprises made the national list and three enterprises in Wuhan were shortlisted -- including the two in Optics Valley -- which was a record for the past five years.
The Optics Valley enterprises selected are Wuhan Raycus Fiber Laser Technologies Co Ltd and China Nuclear Power Operation Technology Corporation Ltd.
To date, 20 Wuhan businesses have been rated as national technology innovation demonstration enterprises.
Since 2011, the title of national technology innovation demonstration enterprise has been conferred on businesses annually by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance.
At the same time, dynamic management is introduced to these demonstration enterprises. Those companies that then achieve designated performance levels are confirmed as qualified demonstration enterprises, while those that do not meet the qualifying levels have their titles revoked.
The assessment of national technology innovation demonstration enterprises is a comprehensive and systematic evaluation of companies from a wide range of aspects.
These include innovation inputs, talent incentives, innovation cooperation, development of innovation teams and innovation conditions, technology accumulations and reserves, technological innovation output and technological innovation benefits.
