The Yangtze River industry park of Hubei radio and television media base has completed its main construction and is expected to officially open in June 2021 in Optics Valley.
That's according to officials' announcement at a forum on the development of the Hubei online audio-visual industry, held on Oct 27.
Optics Valley -- also known as the East Lake High-tech Development Zone -- is located in the city of Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province.
Currently, the construction of the industry park and investment promotions are being undertaken at the same time. More than 130 international and Chinese companies, who have been contacted by the park, have indicated they want to settle operations there.
Also on Oct 27, in addition to the launch of two key projects, a series of major contracts were also signed.
Six companies signed preliminary agreements with the industry park, in areas including big data, virtual reality, augmented reality, animation films and television productions.
To date, the industry park has signed contracts with 30 enterprises, which are involved in upstream and downstream operations in the online audio-visual industry.
The Hubei radio and television media base is a key provincial project.
It is also the first national radio, film and television media facility in Central China approved by National Radio and Television Administration and is an important part of the China (Hubei) online audio-visual industry park.
