Summit on digital economy convenes in Optics Valley

The opening ceremony for the 2020 China Digital Economy Summit was held on Oct 24 in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone -- also known as Optics Valley of China -- in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei province.
It saw in-depth exchanges and discussions conducted around the development of the digital economy and constructive opinions and suggestions were also put forward for Wuhan to construct a digital economy oriented city.
The summit is the top event in the field of the digital economy. Five keynote speeches, one top dialogue and two thematic forums were held. These explored the output of high-density information, the prevailing strategic wisdom for the industry -- and the summit injected strong vitality into the development of the digital economy in Wuhan and even the whole country.
The digital economy is the main development path that Wuhan is currently laying out for its industry. A number of critical policies have been issued successively. A number of innovative platforms, core technologies, key enterprises and industrial clusters in the digital economy have been incubated and are resident in the city.
In the post novel coronavirus epidemic era, Wuhan will carry the banner for digital economic development in Central China, leading the digital economy in the whole province to achieve breakthroughs.
The aftermath of the summit is expected to pave the way for new opportunities and open up new conditions for the development of the city's digital economy.
