ZXMOTO has achieved a milestone in the 2026 Superbike World Championship (WSBK) held in Spain, where French rider Valentin Debise, riding the innovative 820RR-RS developed by ZXMOTO, secured the overall runner-up position.
This accomplishment has propelled ZXMOTO, a company founded just over two years ago in Liangjiang New Area, into the global spotlight, earning them third place in the manufacturer's championship.
Founded by Zhang Xue, for which the company was named, ZXMOTO began with a small, passionate team living and working out of a factory.
A pivotal moment came on March 28 at the Portimao Circuit in Portugal, where Debise, starting from pole position, led the race from start to finish, marking the first victory for a Chinese motorcycle brand in WSBK.
The triumph was followed by dramatic wins in Hungary and the Czech Republic, and a breathtaking last-lap overtake in Italy's Emilia-Romagna, culminating in six championship wins for the season.
ZXMOTO has secured a series of investments that have fueled the development of high-performance, large-displacement engines, breaking the longstanding dominance of European, American, and Japanese manufacturers in this segment.
The 820RR base model boasts a 97 percent localization rate, with key components such as the engine, electronic control systems, and frame being 100 percent self-developed.
ZXMOTO 820RR received the Supreme Gold Awards at the 2026 Canton Fair Design Award. The motorcycle produces up to 135 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.81 seconds.
The 2027 WorldSBK finale will be held at the Shanghai International Circuit, symbolizing a new era where the world stage is set in China.
