The world's first unified technical regulation for autonomous driving systems (ADS GTR) was released in June, spearheaded by China, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Japan.
Changan Automobile played a significant role in the development of this international regulation, providing strong support for China's leadership in establishing global standards for autonomous driving.
The regulation defines core technical indicators for autonomous driving products and establishes comprehensive manufacturer management standards, including stringent requirements for safety management processes, standardized safety documentation, and comprehensive testing and validation.
China led the drafting of key aspects such as the technical background and formulation principles of the regulation, contributing dozens of core technical proposals.
Changan Automobile was involved in this drafting process, proposing several key initiatives, including simplified type approval documentation, enhanced human-machine interaction principles for autonomous driving, and clear definitions of ADS activation states.
Changan Automobile has also promoted the development of Chinese standards, leading the formulation of several national standards, such as the classification of automotive driving.
Changan Automobile's involvement in international standard setting is rooted in its long-term commitment to advancing autonomous driving technology. The company has participated in the development of over 270 international, national, and industry standards, with more than 60 in the field of intelligent technology.
Its SDA Pilot intelligent driving assistance system has guided vehicles for over 1.2 billion kilometers, completed nearly 10 million parking assistance maneuvers, and executed over 10 million safety interventions, with urban navigation testing exceeding 5 million km.
