Members from the Committee on Proposals of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee visited the Jiu San Society Central Committee on Nov 27 to learn its work on proposals and listen to its opinions and suggestions on CPPCC proposal work.

At a symposium held during the visit, Shao Hong, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, said that the CPPCC National Committee has seen significant progress in its proposal work, including institutional construction, improvement in proposal quality and upgrading of the handling of proposals, as well as its services provided since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012.

Shao, also executive vice-chairman of the Jiu San Society Central Committee, noted that the Jiu San Society Central Committee has explored innovative approaches to standardizing the proposal work. He expressed the hope that the visit will help strengthen communication between the Jiu San Society and the CPPCC proposal committee, and called on his party to leverage its advantages to provide suggestions on key and difficult issues related to the well-being of the people, the high-quality development of the country, and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

The meeting also put forward suggestions on topics such as how to encourage political parties to produce high-quality proposals, enhancing the linkage between the central committees of political parties and the Committee on Proposals of the CPPCC National Committee, and strengthening democratic supervision of the proposal work.
