CIDCA chairman meets Kyrgyz cabinet deputy chief

On Sept 23, Chen Xiaodong, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Erlist Akunbekov, acting deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and minister of water resources, agriculture and processing industry of Kyrgyzstan.

Chen noted that China and Kyrgyzstan are good neighbors, good friends, and good partners, linked by mountains and rivers and bonded by people-to-people affinity. He emphasized that China-Kyrgyzstan relations have maintained sound, healthy and steady growth. The heads of state of the two countries reached a series of important consensus in August, charting the course for the future development of bilateral relations, he said.

He expressed the CIDCA's readiness to work with Kyrgyzstan to steadily deepen development cooperation under the guidance of the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, so as to better benefit the two countries and their people.

Akunbekov stated that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to its relations with China. He thanked China for its long-term valuable support and selfless assistance for Kyrgyzstan's economic and social development and the improvement of its people's livelihood.

Akunbekov highlighted that Kyrgyzstan is ready to maintain close communication and coordination with the CIDCA to deliver more outcomes from bilateral development cooperation, so as to continuously inject new impetus into the advancement of Kyrgyzstan-China relations.
