Medical supplies donation ceremony held in Burkina Faso

A Chinese medical assistance team donated medical supplies to Tengandogo University's Center Hospital during a ceremony on July 17 in Burkina Faso.

Chinese Ambassador to Burkina Faso Zhao Deyong and Burkina Faso's Minister of Health Lucien Kargougou attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.

Zhao said that China's long-standing efforts in dispatching medical teams and donating medical supplies to Burkina Faso serve as a testament to the friendship between the people of the two countries.

As this year is the China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges, Zhao said, China stands ready to deepen pragmatic medical and healthcare cooperation with Burkina Faso in the hope of building a China-Africa health community and safeguarding the lives and health of people.

The Burkinabe side spoke highly of the fruitful health cooperation between the two countries and sincerely thanked China for its all-round support and assistance in hospital facility improvement, academic exchanges, personnel training and medical supplies provision.

He expressed the hope that the bilateral medical and healthcare cooperation will yield more fruitful results and bring greater benefits to the people of China and Burkina Faso.
