Facilities and supplies for China-aided millet cultivation project handed over to Burkina Faso

Chinese Ambassador to Burkina Faso Zhao Deyong and Burkina Faso's Minister Delegate for Agriculture Amadou Dicko signed a handover certificate on June 29 for facilities and supplies related to Phase Ⅱ of China's millet cultivation technique assistance to the country.

Dicko expressed gratitude for China's long-standing support in advancing Burkina Faso's agricultural development. He said that Burkina Faso will adhere to the one-China principle and continuously strengthen the friendly cooperation with China.

Zhao noted that China and Burkina Faso have achieved fruitful results in agricultural cooperation, with some projects, such as the promotion of Juncao technology and the technical assistance for millet cultivation, bringing tangible benefits to Burkina Faso's people.

He said that China is ready to expand bilateral agricultural cooperation within the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, all in a bid to facilitate the agricultural modernization of Burkina Faso and ensure its grain security.
