2026 Chinese Biophysics Conference concludes in Boao, Hainan

On August 2, the 2026 Chinese Biophysics Conference concluded successfully in Boao, Hainan, under the theme "Biophysics and Human Health."

The event attracted over 2,000 experts and scholars and featured 37 exhibiting companies. Nine distinguished experts delivered keynote speeches, while 261 specialists from universities and research institutions presented at 29 thematic sessions, showcasing the latest advancements in biophysics and related interdisciplinary fields.
The conference introduced several new activities, including a Young Scientists Forum, a PhD Forum, and an AI Industry Forum and Workshop. These events fostered discussions on the growth of young researchers, the intersection of artificial intelligence and life sciences, and innovation in the biomedical industry. Additionally, the conference supported the "China Association for Science and Technology Youth Talent Development Program," offering a platform for young scientists to share their work and ideas.

Participants also visited the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone to explore innovations in drug and device introduction, real-world research, and biomedical technology translation, enhancing connections between research, clinical needs, and industry applications.
The conference continued its commitment to science communication, hosting activities such as popular science lectures, a high school excellence program, and the "Science Egg Yolk Pie," engaging over 150 in-person attendees and reaching over 2 million online viewers. Twenty-three scientists participated in science communication videos, broadening public interaction.
During the closing ceremony, Academicians Sui Senfang and Yan Xiyun awarded certificates to speakers from the Young Scientists and PhD Forums. The event also featured a poster session with 155 abstracts, recognizing ten student representatives from institutions like the National University of Singapore and the University of Hong Kong for their outstanding contributions. Academician Zhu Bing presented certificates to poster authors.
