Session 12: Nanomedicine Development and Key Factors for Pre-clinical Investigations

As nanotechnology is now widely used in biomedicine, innovation of nano drugs has become a hot and difficult issue in the field of life and health. With the development of basic research on nano drugs, more efforts are being made towards clinical application as well as innovative and intelligent use, which is important for the comprehensive implementation of the Healthy China 2030 initiative. Cross-disciplines, including materials science, chemistry, medicine, pharmacy, and bioengineering, have laid a key foundation for the research of innovative nano drugs, and for the directional distribution and spatiotemporal control of structures and functions in bodies. The particle size, shape and surface properties of nano drugs are key factors that determine their interactions with the biological environment at molecular, cellular, and organ levels. In addition, the safety, quality controllability, and systematic evaluation of the pharmacokinetics of nano drugs are also crucial in preclinical research.

The session will provide a platform for researchers in the fields of nano drugs and clinical transformation to exchange ideas and promote the application of nano drugs in clinical practice, contributing to the construction of a health community for mankind.
