A research team led by academician Xu Tao from the Institute of Biophysics, at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is currently recruiting a postdoctoral researcher or a scientific research assistant.

At present, the team is mainly engaged in the research and development of the molecular mechanism for diabetes mellitus and super-resolution imaging technology.

Experts say it has made outstanding achievements in the research of the molecular regulation mechanism for vesicle secretion, transport and regulation mechanism of GLUT4 storage vesicles, the activation mechanism and molecular composition of calcium release-activated calcium channel (CRAC), and ultra-high resolution microscopic imaging.

Job positions and basic requirements:

1. For the post of postdoctoral researcher:

Strong interest and rich research experience in the research direction of "microRNA" and "cell material transport".

Has a doctorate in cell biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, cell biophysics or other related disciplines.

Candidate would be preferred if he or she has published academic papers in well-known international magazines, be skilled in cell biology, biochemistry and molecular biology and in experimental techniques in bioimaging.

Good English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and be proficient in reading English literature and writing scientific research papers.

Loves scientific research work, be down to earth and conscientious, with strong sense of responsibility, while showing good academic development potential, with independent scientific research ability and a strong team spirit.

2. For the post of scientific research assistant:

Possess a strong interest in the research direction of "microRNA" and "cell material transport".

Has a master's degree or above in cell biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, cell biophysics or other related disciplines.

Has received systematic scientific research training, is familiar with the commonly used experimental techniques in the field, can independently complete experiments and has a goal to publish academic papers.

Good English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, be proficient in reading English literature and writing scientific research papers.

Loves scientific research work, be down to earth and conscientious, with a strong sense of responsibility, showing good academic development potential, with independent scientific research ability and a good team spirit.
