The Spanish delegation recently visited the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) and toured its high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone to learn about the advanced experiences in that field.

The autonomous driving demonstration zone is the world's first high-level autonomous driving demonstration area integrating vehicle-road-cloud. Through a combination of sandbox models and video presentations, the delegation learned about the various high-level autonomous driving application scenarios within the vehicle-road collaborative system.

The demonstration zone has completed the construction and small-scale deployment of the vehicle-road-cloud integrated test environment, as well as the first urban-level engineering test platform in Beijing E-Town. It is on track to achieve intelligent connected roads covering 600 square kilometers and a smart city dedicated network. Eight major application scenarios including Robotaxi, intelligent connected buses, unmanned shuttle vehicles and unmanned delivery vehicles have been settled in E-Town.

"I hope we can have regular communication with Beijing E-Town in the future and explore more strategic cooperation opportunities with the autonomous driving companies in the region," said a representative of the visiting delegation.
