Beijing E-Town's investment promotion office opens in Singapore

Updated: 2024-05-09

The unveiling ceremony of Beijing E-Town's Overseas Investment Promotion Representative Office in Singapore and a seminar on promoting the business environment were held at the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area Singapore Pte Ltd (BETDAS) on April 24.

Beijing E-Town awarded certificates to overseas investment promotion representative offices in Singapore and two other locations at last year's China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS).

Subsequently, BETDAS was formally established in Singapore, responsible for the daily operation of the investment promotion platform, with its office located at the premises of ANLIAN GROUP in Singapore.

According to relevant officials, this model fully complies with international practices and is highly conducive to international cooperation and investment promotion services.

ANLIAN GROUP holds relevant statutory licenses from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and other related agencies, enabling Beijing E-Town to conduct investment promotion work in Singapore with localized, professional, and internationalized services.

On the same day, representatives from companies such as Coherent from the United States, OptoSigma from Japan, listed companies in Singapore such as MITECH-LTD and Maybank from Malaysia, participated in the event.

Relevant officials from Beijing E-Town made presentations, showcasing the area's industrial advantages, business environment, and foreign investment policies.

Beijing E-Town has gathered over 90,000 operating entities, more than 1,200 foreign-invested enterprises, with investments from 102 Fortune 500 companies in 157 projects.

In order to facilitate a higher level of openness, it has successively introduced the "Nine Measures for Foreign Investment" and the "Twenty Measures for Foreign Enterprise Services," establishing a policy system that provides both substantial financial incentives services to foreign-invested enterprises.
