A shipment of premium Huangshan Maofeng green tea and black tea arrived in Prague, Czech Republic, on Jan 18, completing its journey in just 46 hours.
The 209-kilogram export by Huangshan Qimeng Tea was enabled by an innovative "through-air-transport with single air waybill" logistics model coordinated by Huangshan Customs. This means that after a one-time customs declaration, the goods can be transferred across different airlines using just one air waybill, significantly speeding up the international transit process.
This efficient process allows for one-time customs declaration and seamless airline transfers using a single document. It proved vital for Qimeng Tea's first urgent premium tea order this year. To support such growth, Huangshan Customs assists companies with regulatory guidance and streamlined procedures.
The drive for logistics innovation supports the broader global expansion of Anhui's tea producers, while Huangshan Customs has championed multi-modal transport solutions. These include dedicated "Huangshan-Hefei-Tashkent" tea freight trains and a sea-rail coordinated service connecting several Anhui cities to Ningbo-Zhoushan Port. To date, over 1,000 containers of tea have been exported via these channels, reducing logistics costs by more than 20 percent.
Huangshan's tea exports grew 15.8 percent year-on-year in 2025, accounting for 78.7 percent of the province's total exports. This success is supported by comprehensive customs services, including international standards monitoring and helping companies obtain Authorized Economic Operator certification, which grants faster global clearance and enhances the international reputation of Huangshan tea.
