The Investment Summit for Overseas Chinese will kick off at Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center, Xiamen, Fujian province, on Sept 8.
The event hosted by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council was first launched in 2007 with an aim to help overseas Chinese people explore business opportunities in China and to serve as a platform facilitating their participation in China's economic development.
This year, the summit will cover topics related to the construction of Chinese free trade zones and Chinese entrepreneurs in overseas countries and regions, and is expected to be attended by 300 delegates.
China Central Television (CCTV) will conduct interviews during the event. Officials from China's four free trade zones in Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong and Fujian will also deliver speeches at the summit.
