Q20. Should the foreign enterprises in China abide by Chinese laws and regulations related to environmental protection?

In accordance with the law of environmental protection, land territory and sea areas under the jurisdiction of the People’s Republic of China are governed by the law on environmental protection, and all units and individuals have the obligation to protect the environment and to impeach or accuse any unit or individual polluting and damaging the environment. Therefore, all kinds of foreign businesses in China are expected to abide by the law on environmental protection, and have the obligation to protect the environment, and to inform and bring charges against units and individuals who pollute and damage the environment.

The Chinese government will reward enterprises that make remarkable achievements in protecting and improving the environment. Enterprises that violate the law of environmental protection bear the corresponding legal responsibility under the environmental protection law and related regulations.
