To know more about the South China Sea

The English-language edition of the China Nanhai website (en.thesouthchinasea.org.cn) went online recently with rich content related to the South China Sea.

The new website releases a series of archives and legal documents, and is divided into eight sections, namely Introduction, News, Archives, Development & Management, Policies, International Cooperation, Timeline and Visual Resources.

The website is sponsored by the National Marine Data and Information Service (NMDIS), a government-funded public institution responsible for the management of national marine data and information sources.

NMDIS launched the website's Chinese edition (www.thesouthchinasea.org.cn) in August, 2016. Some of its archives and documents were released to the public for the first time.

The two websites were designed to enable domestic and overseas readers to have a more direct and thorough understanding of the realities of the South China Sea.
