Asia Orientale, the Map of East Asia Published in 1942 in Italy

Prepared in 1942 by the Italian Consociazione Turistica Italiana (Tourism Federation), the map is entitled "Aisa Orientale". In the map, the South China Sea was marked, and Xisha Qundao surrounded with dotted lines, with the annotation "Chung Kwo" in red (Editor's note: Chung Kwo is the transliteration of China).
