Prepared by Su Jia-rong (1895-1946) and published by Shanghai Rixin Geography Society, the map marked the territory and administration of the Republic of China during the Second World War. Attached to the book there was Map of Islands in the South China Sea in the Republic of China, which marked "Xisha Qundao", "Dongsha Qundao", "Nansha Qundao" and "Tuansha Qundao" in both Chinese and English, all with the annotation "Chinese sovereignty."
