A government delegation from Rudong county in East China's Jiangsu province visited Shanxi University in North China's Shanxi province on June 23, to recruit talent and forge ties in industry-teaching-research.

Wang Xianzhong, director of the Enrollment and Employment Division at Shanxi University, welcomed the delegation and thanked the Rudong Coastal Economic Development Zone in the county for considering SXU graduates.

He said that Shanxi University and Rudong county already had a solid relationship and hoped that both sides could expand their communication and endeavors to contribute to socioeconomic development.

Delegates from Rudong county gave a presentation on the county's and Rudong Coastal Economic Development Zone's historical and cultural background, its industrial advantages and its great work force and talented professionals.

They talked about the attractive innovation and entrepreneurship atmosphere there, as well as the increasing demand in investment, technology and talent.

Delegates expressed their willingness to strengthen collaboration in the commercialization of technological achievements, hiring professionals and in the fine chemicals and chemical engineering processes.

Officials said the visit will encourage the university to further improve its training of professionals, broaden the employment channels of graduates, accelerate the commercialization of technological achievements and promote industry-teaching-research integration.
