A delegation from the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences visited Shanxi University (SXU) in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province on June 5, for research and academic exchanges.

Cheng Fangqin, vice-president of Shanxi University, gave a talk at the meeting on the university's history, its overall situation in terms of scientific research and gave details on specific research content and the SXU's direction in the environment, energy and power research fields.

The two sides discussed further cooperation in the environment, energy, and power fields.

After the meeting, the delegates visited the National Key Laboratory of Environmental Protection and Coal Waste Efficient Utilization Technology.
