Party secretary elected to leading post at top education body

Fu Huiming, Party secretary of Shanxi University, was elected as the vice chairman of the Innovation and Enterprise Education Branch of the China Higher Education Association – the IEEC -- at the body’s annual meeting held at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics on Dec 14.

IEEC is a national academic group that was formed by Chinese universities to conduct theoretical and policy research in the field of higher education of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Shanghai annual meeting of the IEEC was attended by more than 500 universities representatives, as well as Lin Huiqing, former deputy director of the Ministry of Education of China.

In addition, the 10th National University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit Forum was held the same day. Party secretary Fu Huiming delivered a speech entitled How to Create Innovation Platforms to Enhance the Effectiveness of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education.

Pundits say the forum has played a powerful role in deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in universities across the country.
